Day by Day Safari Itinerary

Romantic Escape in the Wild Realm of the Big Five.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Your safari begins in Arusha, the lively hub of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred by road to your lodge. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the city’s local markets, coffee plantations, or simply relax with stunning views of Mount Meru. This day sets the pace for your safari adventure.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, transfer by road to Tarangire National Park. On arrival, enjoy a guided game drive, exploring the park’s ancient baobab-studded landscapes. This park is famous for its massive elephant herds and seasonal migrations of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope. Spend the afternoon game viewing along the Tarangire River before heading to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire-Serengeti National Park

Early breakfast, then transfer by road to the legendary Serengeti. Upon entering the park, the plains open up to an endless horizon where lions, cheetahs, and giraffes’ roam. The afternoon is spent on a guided game drive across the central Serengeti, a perfect introduction to the vast wilderness before settling into your lodge or camp under starlit skies.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

A full day dedicated to exploring the Serengeti. Enjoy morning and afternoon guided game drives, following wildlife activity across the endless plains. Depending on the season, you may witness the breathtaking Great Migration, where wildebeest and zebras move in unison, chased by predators. Even outside migration, Serengeti offers spectacular predator-prey encounters, birdlife, and iconic African scenery.

Day 5: Serengeti-Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

After breakfast, transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending into the crater for a guided game drive. This natural wonder, often called “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in the world. You’ll have the chance to see the Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino—alongside hippos, flamingos, and wildebeest grazing the crater floor. Later in the afternoon, transfer to the lodge where you will have an overnight stay and dinner.

Day 6: Mto Wa Mbu Cultural Tour

On your final day, visit Mto wa Mbu village, a cultural melting pot where more than 120 tribes live together. This enriching cultural experience provides a different side of Tanzania beyond the wildlife. Afterward, transfer by road back to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the start of the tour will be fully refunded. Cancellations made between 15 and 30 days will incur a 50% charge. For cancellations made within 14 days, no refunds will be issued.
