Lake Natron Day Trip – A Journey to Tanzania’s Hidden Gem.

Day 1: Lake Natron

Depart early for Lake Natron, one of Tanzania’s most dramatic and remote landscapes, located at the base of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the active “Mountain of God” volcano. The area is famous for its striking soda lake, where mineral-rich waters create surreal colours and host thousands of flamingos during their breeding season. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walk with a local Maasai guide to the Ngaresero waterfalls, passing through rocky gorges where you can cool off in refreshing natural pools. After a picnic lunch, take in the raw scenery of the Rift Valley with its volcanic backdrops and desert-like terrain. Lake Natron is also famous for its mystical, almost otherworldly atmosphere, where heat and minerals shape the land into something unique. In the afternoon, return to Arusha with a true sense of adventure.
