Day 1: Makuyuni Wildlife Park

After breakfast, depart for the Makuyuni plains, located near the junction of the Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro routes. This area is famous for its wide-open landscapes that act as a natural corridor for migrating wildlife, especially antelopes, wildebeest, and giraffes. Predators sometimes follow these herds, giving the chance of spotting lions or cheetahs in action. A guided game drive here offers a quieter alternative to busier parks, making it a peaceful and authentic safari. Midday, stop for a bush-style picnic while enjoying sweeping views of the savannah. In the afternoon, you may visit a nearby Maasai boma, as the area is deeply rooted in Maasai culture, giving you a chance to learn about their traditions. Later, transfer by road back to Arusha as the sun dips over the horizon.
