Day 1: West Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, transfer to the West Kilimanjaro plains, a vast wilderness famous for its Maasai culture and proximity to Amboseli National Park in Kenya. This area is known for its dramatic scenery rolling savannahs framed by Mount Kilimanjaro and its free roaming wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and sometimes lions and cheetahs. A guided game drive takes you across open grasslands where herds migrate seasonally, and birdlife thrives in the acacia woodlands. Midday, share a picnic lunch with Kilimanjaro as your backdrop. A cultural visit to a local Maasai boma can be arranged, where you’ll learn about traditions, herding practices, and their spiritual connection to the land. By late afternoon, transfer back to Arusha.
