Avian Encounters and Wilderness Trails in Tanzania.

Day 1: Journey to Arusha National Park

After breakfast enjoy a Transfer by Road to Arusha National Park. Your day begins with a guided walking safari in the lush foothills of Mount Meru, where giraffes stride gracefully among acacia trees and colobus monkeys leap through the forest canopy. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you will enjoy close encounters with wildlife and birdwatching opportunities in this pristine setting. Later in the morning, embark on a peaceful canoe ride across the Momella Lakes, gliding past flocks of flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds while hippos wallow nearby. After a scenic picnic lunch overlooking the lakes, the day concludes with relaxed birding stops at forest and lake habitats before returning to your lodge with memorable sightings of both wildlife and birdlife.

Day 2: Manyara Ranch Conservancy.

In the morning, enjoy a Transfer by Road to Manyara Ranch Conservancy, a wildlife corridor between Tarangire and Lake Manyara. On arrival, join a Walking Safari across open plains, spotting Fischer’s lovebirds, shrikes and tawny eagles. In the evening, transfer by Road to the accommodation for an overnight and dinner.

Day 3: Trip To Tarangire National Park & Transfer to Lake Natron.

Your day begins with a morning Guided Game Drive through the baobab-studded plains of Tarangire, famous for its vast elephant herds and dramatic landscapes. As the sun rises, you may spot prides of lions resting in the shade, giraffes moving gracefully between trees, and a dazzling array of birdlife including hornbills, lovebirds, and raptors circling overhead. Mid-morning, continue towards a vital oasis that attracts hundreds of elephants, buffalo, and waterbirds such as jacanas, spoonbills, and pelicans. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch in the heart of the park before setting out on an afternoon Walking Safari with an armed ranger, offering a more intimate perspective of the bush and a chance to observe antelopes, zebras, and ground birds like kori bustards up close. As the day cools, you will take an evening Transfer by Road toward Lake Natron. Overnight near Lake Natron.

Day 4: Explore Lake Natron.

Today is devoted to Lake Natron and its surrounding Rift Valley landscapes. A Walking Safari with local guides reveals dry-country birds such as masked weavers, ostriches, and larks, as well as cultural encounters with Maasai communities. Day 5: Lake Natron To Lake Manyara National Park

Day 6: Game Drive in Lake Manyara & Overnight in Mto wa Mbu.

As you make your way toward the alkaline lake, the scenery opens to reveal flocks of flamingos, pelicans, storks, and cormorants along the shimmering shores. Your day in Mto wa Mbu begins with a Walking Safari through the vibrant farmlands and lush banana plantations that surround the village. Accompanied by a local guide, you will also encounter cultural highlights as you pass through rice fields, vegetable farms, and small villages where different Tanzanian tribes live side by side. A traditional lunch can be arranged in a local homestead, offering authentic tastes of the region. In the afternoon, continue your exploration with relaxed birdwatching along Lake Manyara, where waterbirds like herons, egrets, and stilts gather, and where hippos can often be seen wallowing in pools. The day winds down with leisurely walks through the bustling local market or handicraft stalls before a transfer by Road back to Arusha in the evening, where the safari concludes.
