    Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! A Dancing Simba Safaris representative will greet you at the airport and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax and prepare for your upcoming adventure. Busy Arusha is a vital part of safari life in northern Tanzania, with most travelers passing through at some stage.

    Accommodation: A1 Hotel

    Day 2: Materuni Waterfalls

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Materuni Waterfall. You'll begin your day 2,500 meters above sea level with a local safari guide. Along the way, explore the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, observing birds, chameleons, coffee, and banana trees. At the waterfall, you can swim in the pristine pools before heading back to the village for a coffee tour. Later, we will drive you to Chemka Hot Spring for another swim in a natural pool with small fish. Don't forget your swimming clothes! Enjoy drinks while swimming until evening before returning to Arusha or heading to Kilimanjaro Airport to start your safari.

    Accommodation: A1 hotel

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania’s most underrated national parks. Its compact yet epic landscape is defined by the Rift Valley escarpment towering over its western boundary. You will encounter numerous baboons and elephants in the park’s thick evergreen forest and might spot the famous tree-climbing lions. With the proximity of the lake, forest, and rock walls, birdlife here is exceptional – don’t forget your binoculars.

    Accommodation: Ngedere Lodge and Camping

    Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Discover why so many safari visitors fall in love with the Serengeti. Keep an eye out for big cats, elephants, and a diverse array of safari wildlife. Giraffes, impalas, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and hundreds of bird species are common sightings, often before breakfast. Watching these animals interact is unforgettable, whether witnessing a hunt, a vast herd, or a mother protecting her young. The Serengeti’s iconic acacia trees, golden grasslands, and kopjes (great piles of boulders) offer an unforgettable scenery.

    Accommodation: Seronera Public Campsite

Day 5: Central Serengeti National Park

Start your day early with a cup of tea or coffee before heading out with a packed breakfast. Early morning is prime time for seeing predators, as they are most active during the night and early morning. Drive out of central Serengeti to the eastern areas, seeking cheetahs, lions on the rocks, and other wildlife. Enjoy a game drive until the early afternoon, then either return to your accommodation for a hot lunch or continue with a packed lunch. Conclude the day with a drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, seeing more lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and hyenas en route.

    Accommodation: Ngorongoro Simba Campsite

    Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, your safari guide will take you into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round supply of water and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area hosts a wide variety of animals, including wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, elk, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. The dense predator population includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard. Visit Lake Magadi, a large shallow alkaline lake in the crater's southwest corner, home to flamingos, hippos, and other waterfowl. Enjoy a short walking safari near the hippo pool at Engutoku Tok.

    Accommodation: Ngedere Lodge and Camping

    Day 7: Tarangire National Park

The final day of your safari begins with a luscious breakfast before heading to Tarangire National Park via Manyara National Park for a half-day game drive. Entering the park by 9 am, lush forests of acacia and mahogany trees set the mood. The game drive will continue until mid-afternoon, with a picnic lunch break. Look for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys. You might also spot the tree-climbing lions and, in the right season, see the shoreline turn pink with millions of flamingos. By mid-afternoon, head towards Arusha for drop-off at your preferred location by 6 pm.
