4 Days Luxury Fly-In, Fly-Out Zanzibar and Serengeti Safari
Begin your journey with a flight from Zanzibar or Arusha to Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your expert safari guide who will introduce you to the wonders of the Serengeti. Known for its vast concentrations of wildlife, the Serengeti boasts over 6,000 lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the rest of the Big Five. Witness the awe-inspiring Great Wildebeest Migration, where thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes traverse the plains. Enjoy two nights of luxurious accommodation in a beautiful tented lodge in Central Serengeti.
After an early breakfast, drive to the northern part of Serengeti National Park, known as Kogatende, to follow the Great Migration. From July to October, the wildebeests are in the northern plains, offering the chance to witness thousands crossing the Mara River. This dramatic spectacle is considered one of the most desirable times to observe the migration. Additionally, you will see predators hunting and various bird species. After lunch and extensive game viewing, return to your luxury accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, with a game drive en route. Descend over 600 meters into the crater, a year-round haven for a wide variety of animals including wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, elephants, and many predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, and cheetahs. Visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner of the crater, home to large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and other waterfowl. End your day with a short walking safari near the Hippo Pool before driving to your accommodation.
Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation before heading to Mto wa Mbu near Lake Manyara for a walking safari. Explore rice and banana farms to learn about local agriculture. Visit a Maasai village to experience their culture firsthand, meet the Maasai chief, and participate in traditional dances. Afterwards, drive back to Arusha or the airport for your evening flight to Zanzibar.
